Terms & Conditions
1. About Gradvise
Gradvise is an independent online academic-support service providing guidance, feedback, editing, research support and related educational services to university students.
Our services are intended to support students’ learning and academic development. They are not intended to replace students’ own assessed work or facilitate academic misconduct.
By requesting or purchasing services from Gradvise, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with our:
- Academic Integrity Policy
- Privacy Policy
- Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Cookie Policy
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not purchase or use our services.
2. Our Services
Gradvise may provide support including:
- academic writing guidance;
- assignment and essay support;
- dissertation and thesis guidance;
- research and methodology guidance;
- proofreading and editing;
- referencing and citation guidance;
- report and case-study support;
- data-analysis guidance;
- presentations and academic posters;
- final-year and selected technical project guidance; and
- other academic-support services agreed in advance.
The exact scope of support will be explained in the support plan or quotation provided to you before payment.
3. Academic Integrity
Gradvise provides guidance, not ghost-writing.
You remain responsible for ensuring that any work you submit complies with your university’s academic-integrity rules.
We will not knowingly:
- complete assessed work for submission as if it were entirely your own;
- impersonate you in an examination or assessment;
- fabricate research data, results or references;
- assist with plagiarism;
- help conceal prohibited AI use;
- bypass academic-integrity or plagiarism-detection systems; or
- provide services that we reasonably believe would facilitate academic misconduct.
We may refuse or limit a request where it conflicts with our Academic Integrity Policy.
For students at English post-16 institutions, UK law specifically criminalises the commercial provision or arrangement of certain contract-cheating services and their advertising.
4. Requesting a Quote
You may request a quote through our website, email, WhatsApp or another communication channel offered by Gradvise.
To prepare an accurate quote, we may ask you to provide information such as:
- the type of support required;
- your deadline;
- approximate word count;
- assignment brief;
- marking criteria;
- referencing style;
- university requirements; and
- any relevant files or instructions.
Requesting a quote does not create an obligation to purchase.
5. Quotes and Pricing
Each request is priced individually according to factors including:
- type of support;
- scope of work;
- complexity;
- word count or project size;
- deadline; and
- any additional requirements.
The price and agreed scope will be communicated before you proceed.
Unless otherwise stated, additional work outside the agreed scope may require a revised quotation.
We will not add optional charges without informing you and obtaining your agreement.
For UK online sales, businesses are expected to make pricing and payment obligations clear before an order is placed.
6. When a Contract Begins
A contract for paid services normally begins when:
- you receive and accept the agreed support plan or quote; and
- you make the required payment or otherwise confirm the order in the manner agreed with Gradvise.
Where appropriate, confirmation of your order will be provided by email, WhatsApp or another durable form of communication.
7. Payment
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered by Gradvise.
Unless otherwise agreed, work will begin after the required payment has been received.
You are responsible for ensuring that payment information provided is accurate.
Any bank, currency-conversion or third-party payment-provider charges may be subject to the rules of the relevant provider.
8. Deadlines and Delivery
We will agree the expected delivery time before work begins.
You are responsible for providing the information and materials required for the agreed support within a reasonable time.
If you delay providing necessary information, files or responses, this may affect the agreed delivery time.
Where an unexpected issue affects delivery, we will aim to inform you as soon as reasonably possible.
We do not promise deadlines that have not been expressly agreed.
9. Urgent Requests
We may accept requests with short deadlines where we reasonably believe appropriate support can be provided in the available time.
Acceptance of an urgent request is not guaranteed.
The scope of support available may be more limited where the deadline is very close.
10. Revisions and Corrections
If the support provided does not reflect the agreed brief or contains an error attributable to Gradvise, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where appropriate, we may correct or revise the material within the originally agreed scope.
Requests that introduce:
- a new assignment brief;
- changed instructions;
- additional sections;
- a substantially different research question;
- significant additional word count; or
- requirements not included in the original agreement
may be treated as additional work and may require a new quote.
11. Proofreading and Editing
Where Gradvise provides proofreading or editing, the purpose is to improve matters such as:
- grammar;
- spelling;
- clarity;
- structure;
- consistency;
- referencing; and
- presentation.
We aim to preserve the student’s own ideas and argument.
Students should check whether their institution places restrictions on third-party proofreading or editing.
12. Student Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate instructions and files;
- checking your university or institution’s rules;
- reviewing the support provided;
- ensuring your final submitted work is your own where required;
- checking references and source accuracy;
- meeting your own submission deadline; and
- using our service lawfully and responsibly.
You should not submit any material without reviewing and understanding it.
13. No Grade or Result Guarantee
Gradvise does not guarantee:
- a particular grade;
- pass or distinction;
- acceptance of a dissertation or thesis;
- publication;
- approval by a supervisor;
- plagiarism or AI-detection scores;
- or any specific academic outcome.
Academic results depend on many factors outside our control, including the student’s own work, institutional requirements and academic judgement.
14. Sources, References and Research Material
Where references, examples or research materials are discussed as part of our support, you remain responsible for verifying their suitability and accuracy before using them in submitted work.
You should always follow the referencing guidance specified by your institution.
15. Confidentiality
We treat information and materials you provide as confidential in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We will not sell or publish your submitted brief or personal materials.
However, information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate our website, communications, payments or other business functions, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
16. Intellectual Property
Content on the Gradvise website, including original text, graphics, branding and demonstration materials, remains the property of Gradvise or its relevant rights holder unless stated otherwise.
You may not reproduce, republish or commercially distribute website content without permission.
Materials provided specifically as part of your support may be used by you for personal educational purposes, subject to academic-integrity requirements.
17. Cancellation
Your cancellation rights may depend on:
- where you are located;
- when you cancel;
- whether work has already started; and
- the nature of the service.
Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains these circumstances in more detail.
For UK distance contracts, businesses generally need to provide consumers with clear information about cancellation rights and circumstances in which charges may apply once a service has started.
Where you ask us to begin work during any applicable cancellation period, we may ask you to expressly confirm that request.
18. Refunds
Refund requests are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We will not rely on unreasonable cancellation charges or automatic forfeiture of payments where doing so would be inconsistent with applicable consumer law. UK guidance specifically warns against unfair or disproportionate cancellation terms.
19. Refusing or Ending a Service
We may refuse, suspend or end support where:
- the request appears to involve academic misconduct;
- you provide misleading information;
- you behave abusively or unlawfully;
- payment is not received;
- continuing the service would breach applicable law; or
- the requested work materially differs from what was originally agreed.
Where appropriate, we will explain the reason.
20. Website Availability
We aim to keep the Gradvise website and contact channels available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.
Temporary interruptions may occur due to:
- maintenance;
- hosting issues;
- internet outages;
- technical failures; or
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
21. Third-Party Services
Our website or communications may use third-party services such as:
- hosting providers;
- email services;
- messaging services;
- payment providers;
- analytics tools; or
- other technology providers.
Those services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
22. Limitation of Responsibility
We will provide services with reasonable care and skill.
However, Gradvise is not responsible for academic decisions made by universities, lecturers, examiners or other institutions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Consumer contract terms should be fair, transparent and written in plain language, and businesses cannot simply contract out of responsibilities that consumer law protects.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to:
- our services;
- website functionality;
- legal requirements; or
- business practices.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
Changes will not normally alter the terms of an already agreed service unless required by law or agreed with you.
